To pray is to direct oneself to the divinity

which loves us and wants nothing but the best for us.

Praying is that special dialogue to converse with the divinity. There are prayers that have been preestablished with specific formulas and prayers that come spontaneously from the heart and mind.

Either form of prayer is adequate as long as we do it with complete sincerity.

The following prayers were given to us by Venerable Master Samael Aun Weor. After each prayer we provide a reference to the book it was taken from. For more information on each title see our online library section.

"In the name of Jehovah God,

Christ Jesus, pray for my brethren, my father, my mother, my children, my nephews, my nieces,

and all friends who are good hearted,

by my glory to God, the Father and the Holy Spirit".

—For Conception—

Mary experienced no pain during childbirth, because she conceived her son through the work and grace of the Holy Spirit. All the husbands and wives of the world can imitate Mary and Joseph, conceiving their children through the work and grace of the Holy Spirit, and not through fornication.

This is the marvelous key that will allow beautiful and intelligent children to be born.

The important thing is to know how to abstain oneself and to pray daily to the Holy Spirit and to his Holy Angel Gabriel, so that in our dreams we are made to be participants of the Annunciation.

The angel of the Lord will then reveal in ones dreams the day and hour in which the couple may perform the sacred act of fecundation.

This conception of the Holy Spirit will turn each home into a paradise; the disenchantments of love will disappear, and happiness will remain.

All prayer to the Angel Gabriel shall be done in this way:

“O Jehovah of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look upon the affliction of thy maidservant,

and remember me, and not forget thy handmaiden,

but wilt give to thy maidservant a son,

then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life,

and there shall no razor come upon his head.”

(I Samuel 1:11) → The book of the Virgin Carmel

—For Protection—

Trace a magic circle and then address the four cardinal points and perform the following invocation of Angel Gabriel while blessing the north, south, east and west:

“Thirteen thousand rays has the sun,

Thirteen thousand rays has the moon,

Thirteen thousand times may the enemies I have repent”.

I believe in the unity of God, in the Father as an impersonal, ineffable and unrevealed entity that no one has seen, but whose strength, creative potential has been and is molded in the perennial rhythm of Creation.

I believe in Mary, Maia, Isis, or under whatever Name, in the physical force symbolizing Nature, whose conception and childbirth reveals the fertility of Nature.

I believe in the mystery of Baphomet and of the Demiurge, Spirit between God and creature.

I believe in a superior, transcended Church, maintained in the pure Souls, in the White Lodges, represented by the Universal Fraternity and which has its exponent in the Holy Gnostic Church, led by Patriarchs, Apostles, Bishops and Priests.

Our law is Light, Love, Life, Liberty and Triumph. Our motto is Thelema.

I believe in the community of purified Souls, in the same manner as the Material Bread transforms itself into spiritual substance.

I believe in the Baptism of Wisdom, which makes real the miracle of making us human.

I know and recognize the essentiality of my life conceived as a totality without chronological end that encompasses an orbit outside of time and space.

So be it. So be it. So be it.

O Divine God! I want Thou to help me to defeat this demon,

that wherever I go Thou shalt help me to defeat him.

I want Thou to protect me from any evil that comes against me.

Save me from all evilness.

PRAYER of Our Lady Saint Martha for the Defense of the Body

O Saint Martha, Thou art blessed, very beloved and worthy of God and Thou walk on Mount Tabor. Thou entered and encountered the great serpent, then with the Mother of God’s girdle Thou tied and bound it. Thus, Thou bound the hearts of all my enemies who came against me in the name of the eternal Father and of the Holy Trinity.

The Gnostic Church is the authentic church of our Lord the Christ. It is the temple of initiations and it is situated within the Astral Plane. Our Lord the Christ and the Holy Masters officiate there.

Whosoever reads our books and practices sexual magic will be internally connected with this temple. The disciple can also go there with his body of flesh and bones any time he wishes to do so. This can be done by practicing the procedure that I teach in chapter five, “Humans and Lands in Jinn State.”

Oh Thou, Solar Logos, igneous emanation, substance and consciousness of Christ, powerful life whereby everything advances, come unto me and penetrate me, enlighten me, bathe me, go through me and awaken within my Being all of those ineffable substances that are as much a part of Thee as a part of me.

Universal and cosmic force, mysterious energy, I conjure Thee, come unto me, remedy my affliction, cure me from this illness and set apart this suffering so I can have harmony, peace, and health.

I ask Thee in thy sacred name, which the mysteries and the Gnostic Church have taught me, so Thou can make the mysteries of this plane and superior planes vibrate within me, and so all those forces together may achieve the miracle of my healing. So be it. Amen.

I came, I came before your high cross (of sacrifice)

Beautiful Lord of mine, To deserve from you, your happiness,

Because you give what is not evil,

The good things that are under your hand.

You have good and redeeming words.

My true father give me your light;

Grant me much insight in my thinking and mind,

So that I may honor you each day.

Verily I implore you beautiful father of the heavens.

You are grandiose in your almighty seat of the skys,

That is why I honor you, one and only beautiful God.

You are just, to those here on earth, to the good and the bad.

I call you...

Songs of Dzitbalche (Song 2)

Father I come with the front of my face, completely inclined,

It has been nine days that I have not touched or looked at women,

Nor have I allowed evil thoughts to come into my mind.

Because I come with new clothes, father of mine.

Just as you can see Father,

I do not look for evil of sin before your sight,

My true Father, my one and only God.

That is why my soul is pure and illuminating white.

I have come to see you in your place, because I have come to give you,

My will and thoughts here on earth.

I only completely trust you here in the world,

Because you , Oh Great Sun!,

Give good to all living things over the earth,

Because you are made to sustain the earth,

Where all the humans live,

And you are the true redeemer who gives good.

Songs of Dzitbalche (Song 6)

To ensure the pomolche trees in the forest,

Go into the woods,

Plant in the soil the bacalche plant,

The sun in the east and in the north,

As in the west and the south.

It comes from the four branches from the path that leads to the heavens,

Where the home of the mat of the wise Hunabku governs.

The one that reminds men that life is difficult here on earth,

And for those who want to make the effort to learn.

And here on earth he gives health,

Because he is the Lord of the fire, water, air and earth,

Lord of this earth and all things made by him.

The Lord Hunabku is the giver good and bad,

Among the good and the bad.

Because he gives his light over the earth;

Because he is the owner of all things,

That are under his hands.

The same as the sun and moon,

The same as the smoking star

That is like the illuminating flower of the heavens;

The same as the clouds and rain,

The same as the ray of lighting, to the smallest fly,

The same as the birds and all other animals,

The same...

Song of Dzitbalche (Song 9)

Our Father, who art in Heaven (I.A.O.).

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come. (The Internal Worlds).

Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And do not allow us to be lead into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Note: This prayer was bequeathed to us by Our Lord the Christ, and it contains seven sacred petitions so that the devotees of the path may ask for the grace of the Most High.

Gnostics must do the will of the Father, on Earth as it is in Heaven. But men generally call and invoke God so that He may do their will, that is to say, what is contrary to God’s will.

Hail Mary; (RAM-IO).

Full of grace.

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb “IHESÚS” (Jeshua).

Virgin Mary, Mother of God; (RAM IAO

Madre de Dios,

Pray for us sinners, those who have the sinning “I”;

Now and at the hour of the death of our defects (Egos).

NOTE: This Prayer, and the Our Father, must be said by all Gnostics before going to bed, or in moments of danger.

The prayer of the OUR FATHER is the most grandiose magical power to awaken the chakra of the heart. To pray is to converse with God. The OUR FATHER serves to converse with GOD.

The disciple will lie down on his bed comfortably. He will put aside from his mind all types of earthly thoughts and then very slowly, he will meditate during whole hours on each of the words and phrases of the OUR FATHER, as if trying to converse with the FATHER who is in the heavens.

During this exercise the disciple should become profoundly sleepy. In visions of dreams, the FATHER who is in the heavens will appear to the student, and the disciple will be able to converse with him in a familiar manner.

The FATHER will be able to make the disciple see certain visions that the disciple should learn to interpret with the heart. In this way all disciples can converse with GOD.

There are other marvelous ritual formulas such as the prayer of Our Father. It is truly a mantric prayer. What we truly need is to know how to pray.

A well prayed Our Father is something very precious. Frankly, when I pray the Our Father I spend an hour doing so. It may seem a bit exaggerated to say one hour, but it is the truth my brothers. The truth is the truth. In order to properly pray the Our Father one must meditate while doing so and meditating should take at least an hour.

If we meditate on the meaning of each phrase in the instant that we are sleepy the results will be precious. We will then move from the state of meditation to the state of Samadhi until reaching ecstasy.

We will then be able to be face to face with our father who is in secret, our internal God. We will then be able to directly receive the teachings from our internal God. In the state of meditation, we can also speak with the ineffable beings.

A well prayed Our Father is something very precious, brothers. I spend an hour praying Our Father. Of course when I pray I do it in the form of profound meditation, each word, each phrase, completely concentrated while getting drowsier. The result is always inner illumination.

The Age of Aquarius is upon us and we need to awaken our inner faculties; the age of light is upon us and we have the necessity to awaken all our powers. More than ever we need to be practical; I repeat practical, one hundred percent. (V.M. SAW lecture – Matter, Energy, Mantras)

In the prayer Our Father we say, “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us,” but if we don’t forgive our trespassers, our enemies, with what right do we ask the father to be forgiven ourselves.

In the prayer Our Father we say, “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us,” but if we don’t forgive our trespassers, our enemies, with what right do we ask the father to be forgiven ourselves.

With what right do we ask to be pardoned if we are not capable of pardoning others? With what right do we ask for pity if we don’t have pity for others. With what right do we ask for mercy if we don’t have mercy towards others? Everyone asks but they don’t give and that is something very grave.

What can the Gnostic missionary give? What will he give? Wisdom and love to all his students. That is what he will give. He will assist and help, but with love. (V.M.SAW – The Three Factors for The Revolution of the Consciousness)

Our Father

Mathew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mathew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Mathew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Mathew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Mathew 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, thy power, and thy glory, forever.

The last sentence “For thine is thy kingdom, thy power and thy glory forever. Amen,” Is written in some publications from the King James Bible edition. This custom dates back to the time of Christianity and survived during the Middle Ages. Also the Hebrew words from the tree of Sefirots with Judeo-Christian syncretism are used. Malkuth would translate to kingdom, Chesed to power and Gebura to glory.

It reads; “Tibi sunt Malkuth, Chesed et Gebura per Aeonas. Amen.”

In reality the Our Father prayer has suffered many alternations during the centuries. The versions from the Evangelists Matthew and Luke get both confused. The original comes from Vulgata. Saint Jerome’s translation of the Bible and the Greek and Hebrew language Latin Vulgar where the phrase of Saint Matthew is read, clearly states, “Give us this day our supersubstancial bread.”

The above version tries to be as literal as possible in the translation from Latin, including the words of Saint Lucas, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

Below are several versions of this sacred prayer in the Latin language for your insight. Remember, one should pray with all ones heart and devotion which ever version one chooses.

The latter part was added in some publications of the Bible, King James (or Reyna-Valera in Spanish) translation, as this is, a custom which dates back to the dawn of Christianity and survived in the Middle Age, even the Hebrew words used for the tree sefirots ―with Judeo-Christian syncretism― so Malkuth is the kingdom, Chesed the power and Gebura the glory.

It is read: Tibi sunt Malkuth, Chesed et Gebura per Aeonas. Amen.

Indeed, prayer has changed over the centuries and usually are mixed versions of the exalted evangelists Matthew and Luke, but is fact that the original Vulgata ―St. Jerome's translation of the Bible, from Greek and Hebrew into vulgar, whence comes its name― where has this passage from St. Matthew taken, states clearly: “The daily supersubstancial bread, give us today.”

Below are several versions of this holy prayer, only for purposes of illustration, because we believe it is best to pray with devotion, with the heart, whatever version one adopts.

The above version tries to be as literal as possible in his translation from Latin, whichever include the words of St. Luke, our daily bread, give us today.

→ Vulgata: Evangelium secundum Mathaeus (6:9-15)

Pater noster qui in caelis es

sanctificetur nomen tuum

veniat regnum tuum

fiat voluntas tua sicut in caelo et in terra

panem nostrum supersubstantialem da nobis hodie

et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimisimus debitoribus nostris

et ne inducas nos in temptationem

sed libera nos a malo.

→ Catholic: (taken from eighteenth-century devotional work)

(tomado de obra devocional del s. XVIII)

Pater noster, qui es in caelis:

sanctificetur nomen tuum:

adveniat regnum tuum:

fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo, et in terra.

Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie:

et dimitte nobis debita nostra, sicut et nos dimisimus debitoribus nostris.

Et ne inducas nos in temptationem:

sed libera nos a malo.

→ VULGATA: Evangelium Secundum Lucas (11:2-4)

Evangelium Secundum Lucas (11:2-4)

Pater sanctificetur nomen tuum

adveniat regnum tuum

panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis cotidie

et dimitte nobis peccata nostra siquidem et ipsi dimittimus omni debenti nobis

et ne nos inducas in temptationem.

Mathew: 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses [debts], your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Mathew: 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses [debts], neither will your Father forgive your trespasses [debts].

Mathew: 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Mathew: 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Mathew: 7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Mathew: 7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Mathew: 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Mathew: 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
